About Cloetta

Cloetta is the Nordic region’s oldest chocolate manufacturer, dating back to 1862 when the three Cloetta brothers from Switzerland founded their company in Copenhagen.
Cloetta’s best known brands are Kexchoklad, Center, Plopp, Polly, Tarragona, Guldnougat, Bridge, Juleskum, Sportlunch, Utvalda Favoriter, Mums Mums and Extra Starka.
Cloetta has two production units, one in Ljungsbro and one in Alingsås. During the period from 1 September 2008 to 31 August 2009, Cloetta produced a total of 20,000 tonnes of confectionery.
Cloetta’s class B share was listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm since 16 February 2009.
The average number of employees is around 450.
For the period from 1 September 2008 to 31 August 2009, Cloetta’s pro forma net sales were approximately SEK 1184 million.
