Cloetta, founded in 1862, is a leading confectionery company in the Nordic region, The Netherlands, and Slovakia. We are manufacturing and marketing sugar confectionery, chocolate products, nuts, pastilles and chewing gum. In total, Cloetta products are sold in more than 50 markets worldwide.

The role is positioned in the CMO team (corporate marketing), reporting to the International E-commerce manager. The Dutch office is in Oosterhout, but colleagues are also based in different countries. The CMO team drives innovation and category strategy (new products, based on consumer insights) and leads the Digital Transformation for the Cloetta group.


What will you be contributing to?

In 2018 Cloetta really started to focus on E-commerce. One of the most important topics for the new central E-commerce team is to create the needed digital basics which need to be available for our 5 online focus markets. The Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Germany and UK.

The CMO Team is an entrepreneurial environment where you can be part of shaping the future of Digital Marketing, eCommerce and internal software tools to support the commercial Cloetta community.


Your responsibility will be…

The Central product owner eCom systems will be responsible for building and implementing a strategy regarding needed E-commerce systems. Together with IT and the super users you will select, implement and optimize these systems. The first focus will be on a sales dashboard for ecommerce and a new PIM system.


You will do so by mainly focusing on:

  • Be part of the project team to implement a global e-commerce sales dashboard and PIM system

    1. Analyse current situation and needs

    2. Define scoop. Must haves and nice to haves

    3. Select best matching PIM system for Cloetta 

  • Educate people on the way of working with the future sales dashboard and PIM system

  • Responsible for the data quality in the PIM system (take care people are aware of the way of working, data will be monitored and activities will take place to improve quality)

  • Innovate on the commercial needs from the super users and the changing retail landscape. Making sure the tools are maintained and developed to continue to support the business needs.

  • Responsible for the strategic plans regarding global E-commerce tools. What is the roadmap, when do we need what and why do we need it?

  • Manage stakeholders across countries, cultures and departments to successfully create and execute strategic initiatives for the Cloetta group;

A very exciting opportunity where we need someone who can work independently in teams of close and far distance, is not afraid to use a lot of own initiative and can be persistent, so we are looking for you if:

You have acquired the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product owner/manager or PIM specialist in an international context
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of eCommerce & IT- program implementation and roll out.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) and preferably also Dutch
  • Traveling between our core markets will be part of the job.

People recognize you as someone who hasa large innovative capacity, is entrepreneurial and result oriented and able to be very persuasive.


Preferably (not a must have) you have experience in the following areas:

You know or have experience in Sales reporting tools (QlickSense), product information management tools and Webshop management. You are familiar with online product content, project & resource management, brand management/MarCom Stores and have experience in an Agile Scrum team.
