Share price and trading
During the period from 1 January to 30 June 2017, 103,950,863 Cloetta shares were traded on Nasdaq Stockholm for a combined value of SEK 3,457m, equal to around 37 per cent of the total number of class B shares on Nasdaq Stockholm at the end of the period. Trading on Nasdaq Stockholm accounted for 50.2 per cent, and other markets where the Cloetta share was traded include BOTC 22.5 per cent, Bats Europe 10.1 per cent, LSE Group 7.3 per cent, UBS 2.3 per cent, Liquidnet 2.2 per cent, BOAT 1.7 per cent, Aquis 1.5 per cent, ITG 1.4 per cent and Nomura Group 0.9 per cent.
The highest quoted bid price during the period from 1 January to 30 June 2017 was SEK 38.80 (5 June) and the lowest bid price was SEK 27.70 (12 January). The share price on 30 June 2017 was SEK 34.70 (last price paid). During the period from 1 January to 30 June 2017, Cloetta’s share price increased by 21 per cent, while Nasdaq Stockholm PI increased by 8 per cent.
The share´s beta and standard deviation
The price volatility of an individual share in comparison with the market as a whole is known as its beta. If the beta is greater than 1, it indicates that the share price is more volatile than the market average. A beta of less than 1 means that the share is less volatile than the market as a whole. The Cloetta share’s beta in 2016 was 0.52, which means that the Cloetta share was less volatile than the average on Nasdaq Stockholm.
