What will you be contributing to?
Your role will be to manage an adequate supplier database, while continuously developing, implementing and improving supplier performance.
You execute sourcing processes, negotiations and contracts in order to maximise the company’s results, impacting top and bottom line growth and strive to a maximum of net working capital reduction.
Since you are responsible for shaping the purchasing strategy of a specific group of materials, you will be strongly involvement with the Supply functions, Innovation, Marketing and Sales department.
The team is internationally oriented, but this role is located in Oosterhout, where you will work under guidance of a Senior Buyer.
Your responsibilities are mainly:
Accountable for the identification of new suppliers, selection, development of a supplier base that can generate competitive advantage to the company by continuously generating GM improvement through total cost reduction,
Develops a cross functional relationship with Innovation and Marketing to understand innovation needs. Translate the needs into business opportunities to a world class supplier base in order to support innovation and speed to market
Contract management and negotiation:
Lead negotiations for his commoditie(s)
Accountable for identifying risks and opportunities involved in each sourcing process
Ensure sound contract are in place to protect business interest
Supplier relationship management:
Keep a sound and ethical relationship with supplier. Motivate suppliers to treat the company as preferred customer regarding service levels and introduction of innovative materials.
Works closely with supply chain organisation to improve cost, service and quality of materials sourced globally
Provide contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply of his/her portfolio of materials
All of the above done with focus on portfolio cost reduction (i.c.m. value enginering team) and within budget.
We are looking for you if you have acquired the following:
Degree qualified preferably in Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Business or other relevant disciplines.
Procurement experience of at least 2-3 years, preferably in a multi-country environment and commodity (Raw materials, Packing materials) experience.
High degree of fluency of English is required to be at easy during negotiations and internal communications. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage
People recognise you as someone who loves to work in a hectic and demanding environment and see you as someone having a good level of negotiation-, influencing- and communication skills.
